Located 22km (14
miles) south of San Francisco, the airport can be reached from central
San Francisco, by taking Route 101 south. Make sure you follow signs
to the airport. If you wish to travel by car, book your car hire
in advance. The car hire center is located on the left onto I-380
and right from the South Airport Boulevard. For access to the long-term
car park, you can take Route 101 south, exit at San Bruno Avenue/San
Francisco International Airport, and take the San Bruno Avenue exit,
turn left and follow the signs.
AIRPORT FACILITIES
INFORMATION AND HELP DESKS
Airport information booths are located on the Arrivals level of
all terminals; staff can translate over 166 languages. Information
kiosks are available at the desks 24 hours a day.
CAR PARKING
There is Short-term (hourly and daily) car parking, with
direct access to the terminals, at both the domestic and international
parking garages. Passengers flying to Canada should use the domestic
terminals parking garage. Valet parking for all terminals is located
in the domestic garage, off the Departures level roadway.
While a long-term car park is located 3.5km north of the airport
terminals. A free shuttle bus service operates between the long-term
car park and the terminals.
Money and communications:
There are ATMs, fax and data port services and post boxes available
in both terminals.
Eating and drinking:
The airport has restaurants, coffee shops, snack bars, and bars
in both terminals.
Shopping:
Varieties of shops are found at both the Terminals, including duty-free
shops, which, is available at Terminal 1.
Luggage:
A lost property service is available in Terminal 1. There is a left-luggage
office in Terminal 1.
Other facilities: A paramedic service is available
in the case of an emergency.
DISABLED FACILITIES
Lifts and ramps are available where necessary; passengers requiring
wheelchairs should contact their airline in advance. Disabled parking
is available in both hourly and daily car parks. Air BART and AC
Transit buses, as well as Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) rail stations
are fully wheelchair-accessible.
AIRPORT HOTELS
There are lot of Hotels located near the airport, which, include
the Holiday Inn San Francisco International Airport North, Hyatt
Regency San Francisco Airport, San Francisco Airport Marriott and
the Sheraton Gateway Airport. Courtesy telephones for hotel reservations
are located on the Arrivals levels of all terminals. |
