Located on the West Coast of Scotland, Prestwick,
a neighboring city to Ayr and Troon has many places of historical
interest and is a perfect choice for holidaymaker's and day visitors

Getting to Prestwick is made easier with regular
return flights to Glasgow Prestwick International Airport from various
destinations in the UK and Europe. The main railway line connects
the city to Glasgow and traveling by car to Glasgow will take approximately

The city has hosted golf events on many occasions
and it was at the Prestwick Old course where the first Open Golf
Championship was played, by Bruce's Well and the Salt Pans. Inspired
by the Earl of Eglinton and Colonel James Fairlie, the Open Championship
was played over three rounds of Prestwick's 12- hole course and
the event was funded by the members of Prestwick.
