The Fremont Street Experience Light Shows
Ever since its opening in December 1995, the much-anticipated
Fremont Street
Experience turns on every soul in downtown Las Vegas every night
with spectacular computer generated Light and Sound shows. The
thrilling Light and Sound towering 90 feet above a four-block
section of Fremont Street leaves the spectators marveled.
The space frame along with the canopy houses 180 computer-programmed
high-intensity strobe lights, 64 variable color lighting fixtures,
and eight robotics mirrors per block that pan and tilt to reflect
light, all of which aid in the miraculous display of each six
minute Light and Sound show presentation.
This complex technology and special craftsmanship is a must-see,
one-of-a-kind attraction in a city.
Grand Canyon National Park
Located in northern Arizona about 75 miles (125 km) north
of Flagstaff Arizona, the Grand Canyon is spectacular! You
will see a whole maze of canyons fissures and gorges worn
into the rock with unusual buttes, mesas and rock spires standing
between them.
The bare multicolored sedimentary layers take on changeable
hues as the sun plays hide and seek through the day making
it truly one of the great natural wonders of the world.
The 4hrs by road or 30 min by air from the great Las Vegas
Strip to Grand Canyon is simply worthwhile.
Air Play
Casinos and clubs are not the only source of entertainment
in Las Vegas for the Tropicana thrills you as much with free
air shows. They make the most of the space directly under
the famous Tiffany glass ceiling with acrobats, aerialists,
jugglers and singers at the Air Play at taking entertainment
to new heights.
Featuring acrobats, aerialists, singers and dancers perform
directly beneath the arc of the Tropicana's famous yellow
and green Tiffany glass ceiling, and captivates the audience
with their displays of skill, strength and balance.
Fountain at Bellagio
The latest in a line of free attractions, sets in the fountain,
right in front of MGM MIRAGE properties on the Strip. The
fountain show coupled with its original orchestration, crisp
choreography and stage lighting fabricates an amazing view.
The fountain show is open from Monday to Friday evenings
with pulsating songs adding to the liquid delight, and with
the dancing jets spurting water high into the air, you can
almost see a grinning Gene Kelly drenching himself under the
fountain.
Barrick Museum
The vibrant Barrick museum displays its Western culture, desert
life and the history of ancient Mexico along with exhibits
that explain genetic adaptations of desert reptiles and other
animals including Gila monsters, iguanas, coach whip snakes
and the Western Whiptail, Nevada's most common lizard and
many more. Even the desert tortoises have got a chance to
stretch their legs in an open-air exhibit.
Visitors can get a great sense of Las Vegas history at the Barrick
Museum, which is just a short walk from the parking lot, but
the walk is well worth the effort.
