that Vienna, is not a place for cheap and imitation stuff
but about elegant and quality buying.
On the Karntnerstrasse Avenue, in between the Opera House
and the Stock-im-Eisenplatz, you'll pleasantly discover some
of Vienna's finest shops. Among other local specialities include
pottery, ceramics and earth ware, handmade dolls and unadulterated
leather goods.
In the 1st District lies the main city centre. However, unlike
other European cities there're few shopping malls and centres.
Most probably to maintain its aura around and so that well
preserved historic buildings remain the same way as they are
now. However, in the 1st district you will find Kärntnerstrasse,
between the State Opera and Stock-im-Eisen-Platz (U-Bahn:
Karlsplatz); which mixes old with the new. It offers absolutely
beautiful ranges of stores. Vienna's best hotels are also
not far away from here.
