Getting around (and to) Barcelona |

By Car
Barcelona Airport is served well by various Car Rental service
providers. The Transbordador Aeri Harbor Cable Car can be
hired just outside the airport terminal. There are several
Barcelona Airport Car Rental companies based inside the terminal
building at Barcelona Airport.
Car journey provides spectacular views along its run from
Miramar on Montjuic Park, across the harbor to Torre de Jaume
I and then on to Torre de Sant Sebastian.
By Metro (Subway)
Barcelona's metro is fairly small yet it manages to serve
the city quite well; It has 4 lines around the city and is
one of the fastest mode to travel in. Single fares are $1.25;
a 10-ride ticket costs $6.
By Buses
Three autobus routes to various points in the urban area of
Barcelona connect the airport.
Aerobus A1 runs between the airport and the Plaza de Catalunya.
There are bus stops in front of Terminals A, B and C. Bus
services operate from early in the morning till late at night,
but not for 24 hours a day. The bus services are inexpensive
and excellent, with over 50 routes covering the city from
6am-10:30pm. Line 105 runs between the airport and the nearby
township of El Prat.
By Taxi
Taxis in Barcelona are numerous and easy to find; Taxis wait
at ranks outside Terminals A, B and C. They roam the streets
or line up at the many marked taxi stands. They charge moderate
fares. An airport exit supplement is included in every fare;
an extra supplement may be charged per item of luggage
By Walking
Walking through the city allows visitor to feel the sensational
beauty. It brings pleasure sauntering in the lovely Gothic
quarter and along the incomparable rambles.
By Train
Train services operate between the city and the airport, the
Renfe Company organizes train services to and from Barcelona
airport. Moving from the terminal building appears the railway
station.
Trains usually leave the airport at half-hourly intervals,
though this varies according to the time of the day. The airport
line and its connections offer many destinations to the travelers
by train.
Although there are several transport alternatives, Barcelona
Car Rental is well worth the added expense if traveling around
a short distance from the city
