Getting around (and to) Aberdeen |

By Taxi
If you happen to visit the city, the best way to go around
is by hiring a Taxi. They are easily available at the Taxi
ranks located at the Railway Station, Chapel Street, Dee Street,
Back Wynd, Justice Mill Lane and Market Street.
You can easily recognize taxis as all taxis have 'City of
Aberdeen Taxi' across the top of the sign on their roofs.
On the other hand, black cabs are not widely in use. There
are several car hire companies offering best taxi service
in and around the city. You can book your taxi online.
By Car
Traveling to the airport and around the Aberdeen city has
becoming quite easy with a vast number of transportation available.
Some of the award-winning car-hire companies run from the
airport terminal providing quality service at affordable prices.

discounts.
By Bus
There are several Bus services provided by FirstAberdeen,
functioning outside the airport and around the city. Almost
all the routes pass through Union Street and most major routes
have real-time passenger information systems at the bus stops,
similar to that provided by London Underground. Useful routes
include route 27.
Airport to City Center, routes 1 and 2 (Garthdee to Bridge
of Don, every 10 minutes via the city center) and route 40,
Kingswells Park and Ride to the AECC. For further information,

Fares on city buses vary between 60 pence and £1.30.
Unlimited day tickets are also available for £2.60,
as well as unlimited weekly "Cityride" passes.
By Rail
Aberdeen's Railway Station is served by trains from First
ScotRail and and GNER.
Trains from London to Aberdeen take 7-8 hours, however, some
trains will require you to change at Edinburgh Waverley. Trains
from Glasgow and Edinburgh take 3 and 2.5 hours respectively.
The Railway Station, situated on Guild Street has a taxi
rank, car hire services, and the main bus terminal nearby.
Car parking for the station is provided by a large multi-stored
car park at College Street. The Trinity Centre, one of Aberdeen's
four main shopping centers is nearby.
