The city Airport, is located about 11 kilometers from downtown,
and can be reached via the access road, which is signposted
from the A96 Aberdeen-Inverness road. The airport is on the
A947 at Dyce. The airport staff offers great service to passengers
and simultaneously contributes to development of the Region
and of tourism in general.
INFORMATION AND HELP DESKS
The information service desk can be found at the check-in
area on the ground floor of the terminal building. Passengers
can contact the information service (tel: (0)1224 722 331)
for details of flights, disabled facilities, opening hours
and public transport timetables. Cultural and tourist information
are also available on arrival from the ICEP desk.
Tourist information and accommodation enquiries can also be
made at the tourist information office (tel: (0)1224 632 727).
AIRPORT FACILITIES
Money and communications:
A bureau de change selling holiday and travel insurance and
post office are located in the Arrivals concourse. ATMs are
available before and after security. Wireless Internet is
available in the Departures lounge.
Eating and drinking:
There are pub, bar, coffee shop and several restaurants and
food outlets at the airport.
Shopping:
There are bookshops and a gift shop at the airport. There
is also a duty-free shop. A shopping collection service is

Luggage:
Left-luggage facilities are available (tel: (0)1224 722 331)
at the airport.
Other facilities:
These include mother and baby rooms, a quiet area and a family
entertainment area.
DISABLED FACILITIES
The airport has unisex disabled toilets throughout the terminal,
as well as ramps and lifts. Induction loops are fitted throughout
the terminal building and there is a Minicom service (tel:
(0)1224 725 082). Reserved seating is also provided.
Disabled drivers can park in the short-term car park at long-term
rates, if they display an orange/blue badge; those using this
facility must inform NCP on the length of stay upon arrival
to avoid incurring short-stay rates. Wheelchair push and provision,
and help with baggage before check in, is available free of
charge to disabled passengers. Passengers requiring assistance
should contact the airline prior to travel.
AIRPORT HOTELS
The Aberdeen Airport Thistle Hotel (tel: (0)1224 725 252)
and the Speedbird Inn (tel: (0)1224 772 884) are both located
in the airport grounds. The Thistle Hotel runs a courtesy
bus to/from the airport, whereas the Speedbird Inn is located
within walking distance of the terminal building. Nearby hotels,
include the Skean Dhu Hotel and the Marriott Hotel.
